Adam M. Copeland is an associate in the firm’s Cable Television and Broadcasting practices, where he represents clients before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and U.S. Copyright Office.
Mr. Copeland counsels cable and broadcast clients on a variety of regulatory issues arising under Parts 73, 74 and 76 of the FCC’s rules, and has represented communications clients in various rulemakings and other proceedings. Mr. Copeland also has extensive experience assisting cable clients with issues arising under the cable compulsory copyright license.
During law school, Mr. Copeland worked at the FCC as a legal clerk in the Media Bureau’s Policy Division. He is a two-time finalist of the National Telecommunications Moot Court Competition and is an active member of the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA), assisting with the organization’s scholarship program, moot court competition, and annual charity auction.
Mr. Copeland received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School where he was a member of TheGeorge Washington International Law Review and selected to the Order of the Coif.
Mr. Copeland is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.
